Job summary

University of Cincinnati is seeking an International Services Advisor within the UC International Services Office to oversee immigration matters for F-1 and J-1 visitors. You will report to the Assistant Director and support excellence in service to students, faculty, and staff.

The role emphasizes advising, SEVIS duties, and cross‑functional collaboration, with a focus on professional conduct and compliance in a diverse campus environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience as DSO or RO is a plus.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Advise international students and scholars on immigration policies and procedures.
• Assist with work permits, changes of status, and reinstatement.
• Serve as Designated School Official (DSO) for F-1 SEVIS system.
• Serve as Alternate Responsible Officer (ARO) for J-1 SEVIS system.
• Refer students to professional resources when needed.
• Coordinate with faculty and staff regarding student needs and with government agencies.
