Qualifications

Student working toward a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting/Finance, Operations Management, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or related field for entire duration of internship.
GPA of 3.0 or greater.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Assist in Strategic Purchasing, Global Sourcing, and Operations.
Participate in strategic sourcing activities to include: Understanding commodity landscape.
Research and identify new potential sources.
Gather and compile necessary information to request quotes.
Analyze quotes and recommend sourcing plan.
Negotiate long term agreements.
Lead initiatives to improve delivery, quality, cost, and risk amongst supply chain.
Sustain supplier partnerships by maintaining regular communication with supply base.
Develop data analytics tool(s) to streamline decision-making capabilities.
Provide support to Buyers and Purchasing Agents in the procurement of goods and services from suppliers.
