MSD Malaysia is seeking a Global Strategic Sourcing Intern to help develop and execute sourcing strategies across our Animal Health division. You will work with industry experts to analyze suppliers, model costs, and support negotiations, contributing to value creation and innovation in a global supply chain.

The role emphasizes data analytics, digital procurement concepts, and collaboration across teams while offering a hybrid work setup for a 10–12 week summer term starting after Spring 2027.

Qualifications

• Currently a sophomore or junior pursuing a BS in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Data Science, Finance, or related field.
• Must commit to hybrid, on-site employment for 10–12 weeks in the summer after Spring 2027.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed supplier and supply market analysis to provide insights for sourcing management.
• Support creation of sourcing strategies aligned with stakeholder requirements.
• Develop cost models and purchase price analyses to identify savings opportunities.
• Assist in pre-negotiation planning and post-negotiation analysis.
• Support RFIs, RFPs, and e-Auctions using procurement tools.
• Assist in supplier contract management and KPI monitoring.
