Job summary

Daimler Truck North America is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Analyst III in Detroit, MI, with a hybrid schedule (4 days in-office, 1 remote). You will partner with Engineering and suppliers to optimize total cost of ownership, drive cost-reduction initiatives, and manage contractual negotiations across a global supplier base.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5–7 years in Procurement, with strong communication and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Materials Science, Logistics, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of procurement experience.
• Strong negotiation and supplier-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Engineering in early product development to define technical requirements and supplier capabilities.
• Develop sourcing strategies and total cost of ownership optimization.
• Lead contract creation, negotiation, and oversight with supplier partners.
• Drive cost-optimization initiatives and supplier performance improvements across projects.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and cross-functional alignment.
