Job summary

Fluidstack in New York seeks an experienced supply chain professional to own sourcing for mechanical categories and to lock supply against the build plan. You will read drawings, qualify suppliers, and manage capacity to ensure on-time delivery in a high‑intensity, frontier compute environment.

You will negotiate long-term agreements, lead supplier performance data initiatives, and scale capacity as demand grows, while maintaining cost and schedule commitments across the organization.

Qualifications

• Experience sourcing mechanical or fabricated categories for a manufacturer.
• Ability to read drawings and specs and challenge quotes line-by-line.
• Proven ability to qualify new suppliers under time pressure and meet deadlines.
• Experience securing capacity in constrained markets and managing supplier data on-time delivery and lead times.

Responsibilities

• Own sourcing for mechanical categories feeding manufacturing (steel, fabrications, cooling components, assemblies).
• Lock supply and lead times against the build plan with capacity commitments.
• Qualify suppliers technically with engineering: first articles, PPAP-style approvals, audits.
• Negotiate multi-year agreements that maintain price and priority as volumes grow.
