Avtron in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Global Sourcing Lead to drive cost savings across design, suppliers, and value engineering. You will lead supplier engagements for New Product Development, coordinate with engineering and procurement, and optimize BOM costs while ensuring quality and on-time launches.

The role emphasizes early supplier involvement, data integrity in SAP, and cross-functional collaboration to achieve aggressive cost reductions in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• BS in Business or Engineering required.
• Experience leading sourcing and cost-reduction efforts.
• Proficiency with SAP, Excel, PowerPoint and databases.

Responsabilités

• Leads design engineering feedback and sourcing bids; central POC for supplier negotiations and PO coordination.
• Identifies obsolete or single-sourced materials for production.
• negotiates price/terms for new products with Global Sourcing.
• Provides on-site engineering support for supplier onboarding and VAVE reviews.
• Manages NPD BOM components from quote through FAI approval.
• Involves suppliers early in design to optimize cost in NPD.
• Sets and communicates lead times for launches and cost-savings targets.
• Monitors material requirements and plans availability at suppliers for NPD.
• Maintains product costs within BOM goals.
• Maintains SAP data integrity and supports ongoing improvements.
• Develops new cost-effective sources; supports low-cost-country initiatives.
• Ensures NPD BOM components are loaded in SAP.
• Participates in approval of new suppliers through NPD and cost-savings initiatives.
