Job summary

State Street seeks a Chief Procurement Officer, Senior Vice President, to lead the enterprise Source-to-Pay function across businesses and geographies. You will modernize the operating model, drive value, and embed automation, AI and analytics while ensuring strong controls and regulatory readiness.

You will unite category management, sourcing, contracting, and accounts payable with technology to deliver sustainable value, resilience, and a simpler experience for business partners and suppliers.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in procurement or Source-to-Pay leadership with enterprise scope
• Experience in global, highly regulated financial institutions
• Proven track record of transforming procurement at scale
• Led multi‑billion-dollar third‑party spend with measurable savings
• Executive relationships with major suppliers across tech, data, and services
• Hands‑on experience with requisition-to-order, AP, payments and data controls
• Experience selecting or implementing S2P, ERP, CLM, analytics platforms and AI applications
• Bachelor’s degree required

Responsibilities

• Set and execute global procurement strategy and multi-year transformation roadmap
• Deliver validated savings, cost avoidance and value across categories
• Lead high-value negotiations and governance of supplier relationships
• Oversee procurement operations, AP, payments and supplier data controls
• Own policies, risk management, ethics, and compliance in procurement
• Lead technology/data roadmap and embed automation/AI across processes
• Develop a high-performing global organization with clear accountability
