Job summary

The Trade Desk is seeking a student intern to work on impactful projects across distributed systems, data processing, ML/AI, and UI/UX. You will join a globally connected team and gain hands-on experience while delivering meaningful results.

You will be mentored by senior engineers, collaborate with other interns and teams, and contribute to a fast-paced, open internet advertising platform. This paid internship emphasizes ownership and real-world impact.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master’s degree program.
• Expected to graduate between Autumn 2027 and Summer 2028.
• Availability to work 3 days in person in the office (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).
• Fluent in one or more modern object-oriented programming languages.
• Strong grasp of data structures and algorithmic techniques.
• A quick and self-directed learner with ownership over design, plan, and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Own and ship a meaningful project end-to-end with ownership.
• Receive one-on-one mentorship from an experienced software engineer.
• Collaborate with a globally connected team of engineers, interns, and other teams across the world.
• Work with new technologies across a wide spectrum of CS, including distributed systems, petabyte-scale data processing, machine learning/AI, and UI/UX.
