Job summary

Life.Church is seeking a Director of Social Media to lead YouVersion’s global strategy, execution, and growth across major platforms. You will partner with regional hubs to shape local expressions while preserving the mission and voice, guiding a team to deliver platform-specific, on-brand content that points people to God’s Word.

The role emphasizes strategic leadership, cross-cultural collaboration, data-driven insights, and development of regional social media leads to ensure unified global

Qualifications

• 7+ years in social media marketing with at least 3 years in leadership.
• Experience leading social teams across multiple platforms.
• Experience working across international teams or managing global social media efforts is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive the global social media strategy across platforms.
• Identify new platform opportunities, emerging trends, and cultural moments that align with YouVersion’s voice and mission.
• Oversee the creation and curation of high-quality, on-brand content tailored to each platform and audience.
• Ensure consistent messaging that reflects mission and values while allowing localized storytelling.
• Maintain a consistent and agile presence across platforms and pivot in real time.
• Track, analyze, and report on key performance metrics across platforms.
• Translate social media data into actionable insights that demonstrate ministry impact.
• Share learnings across global teams to improve reach and effectiveness.
• Work closely with YouVersion Global Hubs to support localized strategies.
• Provide ongoing coaching to regional social media leads for alignment with global goals.
• Foster unity and mutual support across the global social team.
• Lead and develop the YouVersion social media team to meet goals.
• Set clear goals, KPIs, and workflows to keep the team aligned and energized.
• Empower the team to respond quickly to opportunities with creativity and clarity.
