Sol de Janeiro is seeking a Global Director of Social Media, Content & Community to transform fans into loyalists and rituals into culture. Lead global storytelling, brand voice, and social strategy, bridging brand-building with performance-driven social initiatives.

The role oversees content creation, editorial planning, and community management, driving engagement across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Pinterest, and more, with a hybrid NYC-based schedule.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of social media experience in a high-growth consumer brand.
• Proven ability to lead social storytelling and campaigns.
• Deep expertise across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest and emerging platforms.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead a global social media strategy aligned with brand and business goals.
• Own social identity with platform-native, best-in-class content and tone.
• Oversee content creation, calendars, shoots, and real-time content.
• Lead creative direction for shoots and social storytelling in collaboration with in-house team.
• Manage budgets for social content, community, and platforms.
• Build playbooks for commentary, tone, and engagement; guardian of brand reputation.
