Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of progressive cybersecurity experience with hands-on security operations, incident response, threat detection, or SOC leadership.
• 3+ years of experience leading SOC analysts, incident response teams, or cross-functional cyber defense workflows.
• Strong knowledge of SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, cloud security monitoring, identity, email, and network security.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily SOC operations including monitoring, alert triage, investigation, escalation, and incident response coordination.
• Own SOC operating procedures: incident intake, severity classification, escalation, playbooks, and post-incident reviews.
• Manage security monitoring across SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, email, cloud, and network security sources.
• Develop detection use cases aligned with MITRE ATT&CK, threat intelligence, and business assets.
• Collaborate with security engineering to improve log onboarding, telemetry, and automation.
• Coordinate incident response for endpoint compromise, phishing, malware, and data loss scenarios.
• Define and report SOC metrics: MTTD, MTTA, MTTC, alert quality, and trends.
• Oversee analyst workflows, case documentation, evidence handling, and QA.
