Job summary

Microwave Techniques Components Division, located in Gorham, Maine, seeks a Shipping Coordinator to manage freight quotes, scheduling, and carrier communications. The role requires forklift certification, strong communication, and reliable, safe operations in a manufacturing setting.

You will coordinate with shipping partners, ensure orders are packed securely, and provide tracking information to customers. Shifts are Monday–Friday, with PPE provided and safety-focused procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience with long haul or international shipping is preferred.
• Forklift certification required or willingness to obtain it.
• Strong communication, including telephone skills, and teamwork.
• Proficient with online shipping platforms and basic computer tools.
• Good time management and attention to safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quotes for freight shipping costs for customer invoices.
• Coordinate with FedEx, DHL, UPS, and other carriers to arrange shipping dates.
• Work with trucking companies to deliver pallets to hub locations for distribution.
• Interpret sales orders to determine shipping method and schedule shipments.
• Provide tracking numbers and shipping status to stakeholders.
• Address shipping issues promptly with carriers and internal teams.
• Follow packaging directions to protect components during shipping.
• Operate forklift to load trucks and palletize components.
• Label and stencil components for identification and branding during packing.
• Meet daily shipping deadlines to ensure timely customer delivery.
• Assist crate builders and operate foam equipment for packing containers.
