Job summary

Princess Cruises seeks a Fleet Public Health Officer to lead shipboard public health practices across our global fleet. You will oversee audits, policy development, training, and HR support for PHO recruitment and performance.

Bachelor’s degree in Public Health or related field and two years of shipboard or three years shore‑side experience are required, with cruise industry experience preferred. Fluent English and strong interpersonal skills are essential in a fast‑paced maritime environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Environmental Health, biological sciences, or closely related field preferred.
• Two years of shipboard experience or minimum three years of full‑time shoreside professional experience in environmental/public health.
• Cruise industry experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of infection control practices and vessel sanitation standards.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate to culturally diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversees shipboard public health practices through audits, policy development, training, and HR support for PHO recruitment and performance.
• Supports shipboard PHOs with prevention and control of communicable diseases and environmental health risks.
• Uses data to identify training needs and collaborates to deliver targeted training.
• Coordinates with shoreside manager to support operational issue resolution with stakeholders.
• Develops and updates public health policies and procedures and ensures policy compliance.
• Trains and develops PHOs and conducts shipboard public health audits and reports.
