Johnny's Selected Seeds seeks a Wholesale & International Seed Sales Representative to drive growth in domestic and international wholesale channels, expanding the Johnny's seed catalog.

The role requires identifying opportunities, understanding agricultural market trends, and building long-term relationships with seed industry partners, regulators, and customers. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Agriculture, Agribusiness, Marketing or a related field is preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in seed/agriculture or related industries is preferred.
• Proven success in B2B sales, account management and business development.
• Strong negotiation, problem-solving and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Sell Johnny's proprietary and produced seed varieties to domestic and international wholesale channels.
• Develop and execute a multi-year business development strategy for wholesale and international seed sales.
• Build and maintain relationships with product managers, breeders, buyers and decision-makers at seed companies.
• Forecast customer demand with Production Planning and Purchasing to ensure seed availability.
• Collaborate with Product Development and Plant Breeding to share market insights and establish product priorities.
• Coordinate with USDA and regulators to ensure compliance for international exports.
• Negotiate sales agreements and contracts to meet customer needs.
• Identify new distribution channels to grow wholesale and international sales.
• Represent Johnny's at trade shows and industry events to generate sales opportunities.
