Job Description

The mission of the Global Security (GS) team is the protection of the firm’s people and assets, ensuring the safety and soundness of JPMorgan Chase’s business operations throughout the world. GS works to minimize disruption and threats that undermine our businesses’ ability to serve our customers by staying in front of external and internal risks, screening all new employees, protecting our franchises when needed with thorough investigations, ensuring the safety of business travelers, and working to keep our businesses open during extraordinary situations from weather disruptions to local protests.

As a Global Security - Vulnerable Adult Investigator within the GS team, you will conduct thorough investigations related to vulnerable adult and elder financial exploitation issues, working closely with internal and external partners to ensure regulatory compliance and contribute to the safety and soundness of our business operations. This role requires a deep understanding of fraud and risk, and the ability to identify potential control and procedural improvements. It offers an opportunity to protect our most vulnerable customers and significantly impact our business.

Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct external investigations related to vulnerable adult and elder financial exploitation as part of the Vulnerable Adult Investigations Team.
  • Gather and document evidence thoroughly, interview witnesses and suspects, trace financial transactions, and ensure timely documentation in case management systems, while complying with regulatory requirements.
  • Assess ideas, technology, and industry risks to enhance GS’s fraud detection and investigation methods.
  • Collaborate with Adult Protective Services and law enforcement for regulatory reporting and prosecution.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of bank operations, policies, and procedures necessary for investigations.
  • Make independent decisions and keep GS management informed on investigations, including complex issues.
  • Maintain relationships with law enforcement and regulatory bodies to stay updated on relevant issues.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial or vulnerable adult investigations and/or banking industry experience.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective multi-tasking, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Problem-solving and issue resolution skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • Professional interaction with clients on sensitive matters.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • Industry certifications such as CFE, CFI, etc.
  • Ability to analyze bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial records.
  • Leadership skills, with ability to work independently and support team members.
  • Relevant business-specific skills or certifications are a plus.
