Job summary

Northeastern University seeks an Associate Director, Security Technology to provide senior-level leadership for the design, deployment, governance, and continuous improvement of security technology across its global campus network.

This role has enterprise scope and strategic responsibility for physical security systems, infrastructure, and technology standards that support public safety, emergency management, and institutional resilience worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public safety, IT, engineering, or related field.
• Seven+ years in security technology or enterprise IT environments.
• Experience leading enterprise-scale security programs.
• Strong project, program management, capital planning, and vendor management.
• Ability to articulate technical concepts to exec and non-technical audiences.
• Experience in regulated environments such as higher education or large enterprise.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise security technology program for global campus network, set standards and lifecycle strategies.
• Oversee major renovations and campus expansions; manage scopes, budgets and schedules.
• Provide executive oversight of daily security technology operations and governance.
• Lead security staff development and cross-functional coordination.
• Deliver training and guidance on security technology usage and incident readiness.
