Job summary

SimIS Inc. is seeking a Security Coordination Officer for 100% onsite work in the Norfolk, VA area. The role focuses on coordinating security for high-profile events, working with local law enforcement and advisory agencies, and delivering comprehensive risk assessments.

Required are a Master’s in security management or related field or a Bachelor’s plus 10 years of relevant experience, plus Certified Risk Management Professional. Strong OSINT analysis and briefing capabilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in security management, counterterrorism, or crisis management or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree plus 10 years of relevant law enforcement or risk management experience.
• Certified Risk Management Professional certification is required.
• Ten years in security administration, risk management, criminology, public administration, or industrial security administration.
• 5–10 years conducting risk assessments, site security surveys, and coordination with law enforcement.

Responsibilities

• Analyse reports from travel databases to identify high-risk destinations.
• Collect and analyze security information from OSINT and other sources for risk assessment.
• Provide comprehensive security briefings tailored to missions and events.
• Develop security plans for high-risk events and ensure compliance with policies.
• Perform regular risk assessments and site security audits with mitigation recommendations.
• Lead site surveys and develop actionable security reports and risk strategies.
• Assess CI risks in attendee lists and identify potential threats.
• Prepare security briefs for leadership, coordinating with FP Staff Officer.
