GSOC Operator at MGM Resorts International in Las Vegas monitors and analyzes information from security teams, law enforcement, and public sources to support informed decision-making and crisis communications. You will collaborate with partners across the organization to help protect people, property, and operations in a fast-paced environment.

You will gather data, assess threats, and provide timely recommendations to leadership, contributing to the safety and success of our guests and team

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Two years of prior relevant experience in Security or related fields.
• Strong research skills using databases and social media.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to present to diverse audiences.
• Able to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support Protective Risk Assessment by collecting/analyzing information from security teams, law enforcement, public sources, and social media.
• Review security incident reports to identify trends and inform leadership.
• Provide assessments and recommendations to property/department leadership using critical thinking.
• Create tailored crisis communications from security and other sources.
• Collaborate with Corporate Security Officers, Investigators, and Senior Security Management on sensitive matters.

THE JOB

In this role, you’ll gather and analyze security-related information from a variety of sources, including law enforcement, open sources, and internal teams, to support informed decision-making and crisis communication efforts. You’ll collaborate with partners across the organization and play an important role in helping to protect our people, property, and operations. THE STARTING RATE: $24.00 / Per Hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Support the company’s Protective Risk Assessment program by collecting and analyzing information from security teams, law enforcement, public sources, and social media to keep leadership, including the Crisis Management Team, informed and ahead of potential threats

• Review security incident reports to identify trends and highlight key issues for leadership

• Use critical thinking and sound judgment to provide assessments and recommendations to property and department leadership

• Create tailored crisis communications using information from property security teams and other sources

• Partner with Corporate Security Officers, Corporate Investigators, and Senior Security Management on sensitive matters as needed

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Must be 18 years of age or older

• High School Diploma or GED

• Two (2) years of prior relevant experience in Security, Law Enforcement, and/or a legal profession required

• Strong research skills, including use of databases and social media platforms

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to diverse audiences

• Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and all holidays
