Job summary

Viasat is seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to build an API-driven, multi-network satellite orchestration platform that delivers real-time situational awareness and command-and-control for a global aircraft fleet.

You will collaborate with a Scrum team to design, implement and refine software across frontend and backend layers, applying modern cloud and web technologies, while enabling scalable, mission-critical solutions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience developing web applications.
• Experience with React, Spring Boot, Python, or Go.
• Experience building and supporting cloud-based apps (AWS, Azure or similar).
• Familiarity with microservices and distributed systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in an Agile Scrum team to design, build, and deliver software.
• Develop and refine technical designs with teammates.
• Iterate rapidly on customer-focused features with feedback.
• Serve as frontend or backend subject matter expert and mentor others.
• Work with UX designers and cross-functional partners on user experiences.
• Continuously improve products, technologies, and development practices.
