Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. seeks a Senior Director of Software Engineering to lead the global SAP General Ledger program within Corporate Technology. You will drive strategy, oversee SAP configurations, and manage multi-platform, cross-department initiatives with senior leadership alignment.

You will direct SAP GL on S/4HANA, SAP BW/BPC, and cloud initiatives via SAP Rise, leveraging your deep industry experience to scale value and reliability across the firm’s financial services platforms.

Qualifications

• Formal training in software engineering concepts and 10+ years of applied experience.
• 5+ years of experience leading technologists to manage and solve complex technical challenges.
• Experience developing or leading large cross-functional teams of technologists.
• Demonstrated ability to influence across highly matrixed organizations and deliver value at scale.
• Experience leading complex projects supporting system design, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience with hiring, developing, and recognizing talent.
• Extensive practical cloud-native experience.
• Expertise in CS/CE/Math or related technical field.

Responsibilities

• Lead global teams focused on SAP General Ledger across departments.
• Direct SAP Configuration, Software Engineers, and Production Support teams with strategic direction.
• Oversee SAP General Ledger on S4Hana with robust strategy, build, and production support.
• Implement SAP solutions at Financial Services firms to deliver value at scale.
• Manage SAP Business Warehouse and BPC, supporting design, testing and stability.
• Drive SAP on the Cloud initiatives using SAP Rise and cloud-native best practices.
• Leverage SAP BTP to enable advanced business technology solutions.
• Champion SAP AI capabilities and integration into business processes.
• Interface with senior leaders and executives to drive consensus on complex projects.
• Manage relationships with the SAP vendor and influence peers and senior stakeholders.
• Promote culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.
