Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a senior SAP Platform Lead to direct a global team of SAP BASIS and BTP administrators, ensuring 24x7 coverage and flawless platform operations across ECC, S/4HANA, and BTP environments.

You will drive architecture for hybrid and cloud-native deployments, champion automation and AI-enabled monitoring, and ensure security, ITGC, and SOX compliance while coordinating with SAP and cloud providers on upgrades and migrations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
10+ years of SAP BASIS / Technical Platform management experience.
Proven experience leading global SAP platform operations and engineering teams.
SAP certifications in BASIS, S/4HANA, or SAP BTP.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a global team of SAP BASIS and BTP administrators, ensuring 24x7 support coverage.
Own end-to-end SAP platform operations, including installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and system refresh across ECC, S/4HANA, BW, GTS E4H, MES, and BTP environments.
Drive system reliability, availability, and performance through proactive monitoring and governance.
Administer SAP BTP landscapes, including subaccount setup, entitlements, user management, security configuration, and service provisioning.
Lead SAP technical architecture decisions for hybrid and cloud-native environments.
Drive adoption of AIOps, AI/ML tools, automation, intelligent monitoring dashboards, and self-healing mechanisms.
Ensure high availability through HANA replication, clustering, and failover strategies.
Monitor and optimize system performance, database health, and infrastructure utilization.
Own SAP technical security, including SSO, MFA, certificates, identity management, and compliance audits.
Ensure adherence to ITGC, SOX controls, and enterprise cybersecurity policies.
Lead cloud connectivity using SAP Cloud Connector, Integration Suite, and APIs.
Support enterprise integrations across SAP and non-SAP platforms.
Act as escalation point for major incidents and provide executive-level communication.
Partner with SAP, cloud providers, and vendors on upgrades and innovation initiatives.
Support S/4HANA migration and BTP adoption transformation programs.
Manage SAP TMS, ChaRM integration, and release governance processes.
Provide technical documentation, knowledge transfer, and training to internal teams and stakeholders.
