Amazon Data Services, Inc. (AWS) seeks a Regional Safety Engineer to own the Health and Safety function for the designated area and to improve safety across our data centers.

You will partner with data center engineers, security, construction, operations, compliance, and human resources to advance the global health and safety program. Qualifications

• 3+ years of program or project management experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree and 4+ years of compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk prevention, or equivalent experience.
• Experience implementing health and safety standards and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Implement health and safety standards, policies and practices including safety management systems, training, risk assessments, and applicable safety regulations.
• Conduct health and safety audits of data centers and construction sites for life safety and regulatory compliance.
• Develop health and safety plans for emergencies and business continuity.
• Maintain safety records and data integrity.
• Perform data trend analysis to support leadership decisions and safety initiatives.
• Collaborate with AWS compliance team for interpretations and guidance.
• Identify risks and work with Operations to remediate via hierarchy of controls.
• Interact daily with customers delivering health and safety guidance.
