Job summary

Portland State University in Portland, Oregon seeks a Program Coordinator for the Russian Flagship Program. This 1.0 FTE position supports daily operations, recruits and advises students, and coordinates with the Flagship Director and Russian faculty to promote language proficiency across majors.

The role involves occasional travel to national meetings and local recruitment, a typical schedule of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and collaboration within the Department of World Languages and Literatures.

Qualifications

  • BA Degree.
  • Two years of experience in administrative capacity.
  • Excellent organizational and office skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency; spreadsheets experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support and promote the PSU Russian Flagship Program.
  • Manage daily operations of the Flagship program.
  • Recruit and advise students about the program.
  • Coordinate with the Director and faculty on scheduling.
  • Travel occasionally to national meetings and for local recruitment.
