Job summary

AbbVie Inc. is seeking a Risk Management Lead to advance risk-based quality management across global clinical trials.

You will partner with study teams to embed RBQM, identify key risk indicators, and drive proactive risk mitigation to ensure high-quality study execution and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in life sciences with 10+ years in clinical operations and proven ability to influence cross-functional teams in a global environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years in clinical operations with risk management/RBQM experience.
• Knowledge of ICH/GCP and regulatory standards.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive change.

Responsibilities

• Lead embedding and adoption of RBQM across clinical study teams.
• Develop and implement risk management strategies across programs.
• Facilitate RAMP meetings and maintain documentation.
• Define KRIs and risk controls; monitor data signals.
• Align risk discussions with study plans and monitoring strategies.
• Support inspection readiness and regulatory compliance.
