Job summary

AbbVie Inc. is seeking a Risk Management Lead to drive the RBQM strategy across global clinical trials.

You will partner with study teams and Central Monitoring to foster proactive risk mitigation and regulatory compliance, guiding KRIs and risk controls. The role requires strong expertise in risk management, RBQM, and quality oversight, with a track record of influencing senior stakeholders in a complex, multi-jurisdictional environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, risk-based, or related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in clinical operations with risk management, RBQM, or quality management.
• Excellent knowledge of risk management methodologies (identification, assessment, mitigation, documentation).
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive change across global studies.

Responsibilities

• Lead embedding of the end-to-end RBQM model within clinical study teams.
• Partner with cross-functional leads to develop risk management strategies across programs.
• Facilitate RAMP meetings and maintain RBQM documentation across study lifecycle.
• Define KRIs, risk controls, and response plans with cross-functional teams.
• Align risk discussions with study plans and global monitoring strategies.
• Coach teams on risk mindset, methodology, and process maturity.
• Analyze quality metrics and risk signals to drive improvement.
• Monitor risk mitigation, escalation, and regulatory readiness.
