Job summary

LeoLabs in the United States seeks a Senior Regulatory and Program Leader to own global RF permitting, including spectrum licensing, experimental and permanent authorities, equipment certification, and type approval across markets. You will coordinate with RF engineers, site teams, regulators, testing labs, and consultants.

This senior role requires travel, strategic thinking, and the ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into actionable plans, ensuring timely approvals and risk

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in spectrum regulation or related field.
  • Direct engagement with government spectrum regulators required.
  • Strong knowledge of RF fundamentals and licensing processes.
  • Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments with ambiguity.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

  • Own global RF regulatory and permitting strategy for radar locations.
  • Develop licensing strategies and identify regulatory risks early.
  • Lead spectrum license applications from feasibility to approval.
  • Coordinate with RF engineers, regulators, and consultants.
  • Manage equipment certification and type approval workstreams.
  • Integrate regulatory considerations into site selection.
  • Coordinate interference analyses with RF Engineering team.
  • Manage multi-country regulatory programs and budgets.
  • Build and maintain international network of regulators and labs.
