Job summary

OpenAI DeployCo seeks a Global Real Estate Operations Lead to design and run DeployCo’s worldwide workplace operations. You will shape the team, partner with senior leadership, and direct delivery across international offices, ensuring consistent, safe, and high-value services.

You will align with the Real Estate and Workplace teams to manage environment, leasing, design, and construction, while scaling operations for rapid growth and acquisitions.

Qualifications

• Experience leading workplace and facilities operations across multiple countries.
• Ability to set an operating strategy and scalable systems.
• Strong people leadership across geographically dispersed teams.
• Depth in provider and landlord management, financial planning, and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Set and execute the global workplace operations strategy, translating growth into service models, staffing, budgets, and standards.
• Own workplace and facilities services across the portfolio, including maintenance, landlord relationships, health and safety coordination, employee services, and issue resolution.
• Build and lead the global workplace operations team, starting with strong local site operations staff and evolving the organization as portfolio grows.
• Set consistent service expectations while adapting to local requirements, office size, and working patterns.
• Establish a global workplace operations standard for DeployCo ensuring a high-value working experience.
• Manage workplace and facilities providers, setting scopes, performance measures, and escalation paths.
• Lead workplace integration of acquired businesses and readiness for new offices, moves, and expansions.
• Oversee outsourced leasing, design, construction, and office projects with budgets and risks.
• Own workplace budget planning, forecasting, and reporting with data-driven decisions.
• Build processes and playbooks to improve visibility and coordinate safety, employee experiences, and onsite gatherings.
