Job summary

3M’s Real Estate Manager in Maplewood, MN, will oversee large, complex projects, align with the RE Dept Op Committee, and drive global real estate strategy. You will develop and implement department priorities, analyze options, and support merger, acquisition, and divestiture activities.

The role requires a real estate/finance/business degree, 5 years of experience across multiple asset classes, strong communication, and proficiency with SAP and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, or business or engineering, supply chain (completed and verified prior to start) OR
• High School diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) AND 4 years of real estate, IT or finance in a private, public, government or military environment
• Five (5) years of experience in complex real estate work in a private, public, government or military environment
• Five (5) years' experience across multiple asset classes; manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, office, office, and others

Responsibilities

• Member of the RE Dept. Op. Committee and implement RE Dept. programs and procedures
• Develop and implement department priorities and analyze alternatives with recommendations to BU, financial and exec. mgmt.
• Manage large and complex RE projects and implement global RE strategy
• Team with 3M RE and non-RE professionals to manage 3M RE assets
• Represent the RE Dept on merger, acquisition, and divestiture projects
• Conduct due diligence and valuation analysis for projects
• Support contract negotiation and RE counsel coordination
• Support integration and post-closing activities
• Develop processes to ensure data collection, maintenance, and reporting
• Identify opportunities to improve dept. and corp. RE processes
• Participate in cross-functional teams to drive process improvements
