Job summary

Texwipe in Kernersville, NC seeks an R&D manager to lead product development using customer back innovation, while executing sustaining developments for cost savings and supply chain changes.

You will drive cross-functional collaboration across product management, operations, quality, and sales, and oversee project plans to meet launch schedules. Requires a technical degree and 5+ years in R&D with stage gate processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years experience in an R&D role utilizing a stage gate process to manage innovation projects.
• Minimum 2 years experience managing a team.
• Computer software literate with experience in spreadsheets and presentations.
• Deep knowledge of textiles related to primary materials used in production with direct textile manufacturing experience as a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the CBI process for the business and coordinate with multiple functions to deliver each phase: discover, create, develop and deploy.
• Maintain knowledge of textiles and materials and build supplier networks to support existing products and new ones.
• Support global sales with literature and tools, and assist in contract negotiations for key accounts to meet sales and margin goals.
