Job summary

Albemarle is seeking a Global Quality Systems Manager to lead strategy, governance, and standardization of Quality Management Systems across its global manufacturing network. This role functions as the company’s global subject-matter expert for QMS governance, process confirmation, Cost of Quality and quality performance measurement.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in chemical manufacturing quality management or related industrial environment.
• Experience developing, implementing, and improving Quality Management Systems across manufacturing.
• Advanced expertise in ISO 9001 and IATF 16949, translating requirements into practical systems.
• Experience establishing or improving Cost of Quality frameworks and quality-performance systems.
• Ability to influence across organizational boundaries without direct authority.
• Experience supporting on-site manufacturing operations and/or laboratory activities.

Responsibilities

• Define, lead, and govern Quality Management System processes globally.
• Establish document management, internal audits, risk management and training frameworks.
• Assess site systems against enterprise standards and customer expectations.
• Identify systemic risks, drive improvement plans, verify closure.
• Serve as company expert on ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and related standards.
• Define global quality performance framework with KPIs, controls, and targets.
• Establish global Cost of Quality framework linking prevention and failures to outcomes.
• Develop internal-audit and process-confirmation programs with auditors.
• Lead root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and prevention of recurrence.
• Apply analytics and emerging technologies to improve quality systems.
• Develop quality-system practitioners through leadership, training, and coaching.
• Promote prevention culture aligned with Albemarle’s values and safety.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Quality Management, or a related technical field
