Job summary

American Vanguard Corporation is seeking a Global Quality Manager - Chemistry to lead the quality management system across manufacturing sites worldwide. The role focuses on QA/QC leadership, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in a dynamic agrochemical environment.

You will drive QMS development, audits, and corrective actions, collaborating with Manufacturing, R&D, Regulatory Compliance and EH&S.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of proven experience in Quality Assurance in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of five (5) years in a managerial role leading QA, QC, compliance teams.
• Experience conducting and managing internal and external audits with the ability to implement corrective actions and continuous improvement plans.
• Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS), e.g., ISO 9001 preferred.
• Six Sigma, ASQ, or equivalent certifications preferred.
• Proven experience in regulatory compliance within the agrochemical/agriculture industry, with knowledge of relevant standards and regulations.
• Strong background in identifying and managing quality and compliance risks.
• Proven skills in leadership, project management, effective delegation, and budget management.

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing QMS aligned with industry standards and organizational goals.
• Quality strategy and planning across multiple sites.
• Lead QC managers and quality teams, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Oversee quality control including product analysis, release, and troubleshooting.
• Conduct training and awareness programs on quality standards and procedures.
• Oversee audits and inspections to ensure compliance and identify improvements.
• Manage non-conformances with corrective and preventive actions.
• Report on QMS performance to stakeholders and management.
