Job summary

unybrands is seeking a Quality Coordinator to oversee release coordination for dietary supplements and pet consumables. This role spans suppliers across Europe, the United States, and South America, and tasks include evaluating COAs, lab results, batch records, and labeling against market specs.

The role relies on judgment, not a simple checklist, to ensure only compliant, safe products move to shipment. Strong documentation discipline and English fluency are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in quality assurance, quality control or supplier quality in a food, beverage, dietary supplement, nutraceutical, pet food or comparable consumable manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of GMP and HACCP principles, or an equivalent food safety management framework, as applied to consumable manufacturing.
• Demonstrated ability to read and critically assess COAs, microbiological reports, batch records and specification sheets - including recognizing when a document is incomplete, inconsistent or does not actually support release.
• Familiarity with microbiological testing parameters and specification limits in a consumable category.
• Experience working with third-party inspection, audit or laboratory partners.
• Fluent English, written and spoken - used for internal reporting and a large share of supplier correspondence.
• Strong documentation discipline and organized record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate quality release for consumables across multiple suppliers and regions.
• Review Certificates of Analysis, microbiological reports, batch records and lab results for completeness and compliance.
• Coordinate third-party inspections and ensure scope covers hygiene, traceability, labeling, and regulatory requirements.
• Design release criteria and coordinate additional controls when needed before shipment.
• Work with suppliers on formulation and specification control to ensure compliant products.
• Maintain complete QC records and support audits and customer requests.
• Monitor quality risk across US and South American suppliers and drive corrective actions to closure.
