Job summary

Lithion Battery Inc. is seeking a Lead Purchaser to oversee purchasing and pricing to optimize profitability. You will procure raw materials, supplies, equipment, and services, review requisitions, prepare POs, and solicit bids.

You will collaborate with leadership to implement strategic procurement and resolve supply chain/disruption issues. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure cost efficiency, compliance, and timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school graduate or general education degree (GED).
• BS in Business Administration or Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 5 or more years’ experience as an international purchasing agent.
• Prior experience with purchasing new PCBAs, and electrical components is desired.
• Strong experience working with ERP systems.
• Strong Microsoft Office application skills, including Excel and Word.
• Must be able to read, write and speak/understand English fluently.

Responsibilities

• Negotiates, re-negotiates and administers contracts with suppliers, vendors and other representatives.
• Leads the evaluation and monitoring of contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and determine needs for changes.
• Leverages vendors/subcontracts across multiple procurements to create costs savings to projects.
• Maintains all relevant purchasing data of goods in the ERP.
• Analyzes price proposals and other financial data to determine reasonable prices for goods and services.
• Balances cost and quality to procure the best quality of goods or services for the lowest price in adequate amounts.
• Actively develop schedules and performance plans to meet customer and Company goals and objectives.
• Monitors and adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and policies regarding the purchase of goods and services.
• Collaborates with internal departments (estimating, purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, quality and shipping) to communicate customer requirements.
• Collaborates with a worldwide network of suppliers and vendors.
• Performs other duties outside their scope of work as assigned and required
