Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Defense Space Acquisition Project Lead to support the Protected Tactical SATCOM-Global program at Los Angeles AFB, CA. You’ll apply engineering expertise in systems engineering, integration, and test strategies as the Aerospace lead for the PTS-G contract, coordinating with government and contractor teams.

You’ll report to CNCD and work onsite, requiring an active Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in engineering or science from a recognized institution or related STEM field.
• Eight or more years of related professional engineering/scientific experience.
• Skills in performing risk and schedule assessments.
• Ability to lead and communicate with diverse groups.
• Capable of balancing inputs from subject matter experts with customer and vendor needs to inform cost, schedule and performance trades.
• Travel to contractor and vendor facilities as required.
• Active Secret clearance, U.S. citizenship required for clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical engagement with the PTS‑G production contractor and oversee CDR sufficiency, vehicle factory testing, and ground site acceptance testing.
• Lead integration of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and launch vehicle integration.
• Coordinate and prioritize Aerospace team efforts in support of the PTS‑G contract.
• Advise the customer on stakeholder engagement with system users, operators, certifiers, and other key organizations.
• Provide leadership insights on risks, issues, opportunities and mitigation actions.
• Apply systems engineering, requirements, and test & validation methodologies to support mission execution.
