Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), a division of Amphenol Corporation, seeks an Engineering Lead – Engineering Operations & Strategic Projects in Etters, PA. You will partner with the Director of Engineering to drive strategic initiatives, lead cross-functional projects, and develop into a broader leadership role.

The role emphasizes project leadership, engineering operations, and continuous improvement, with exposure to multiple product lines and manufacturing sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years engineering experience in manufacturing or product development.
• Demonstrated experience leading technical projects across cross-functional teams.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to influence without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Director of Engineering on high-priority technical and operational initiatives.
• Lead cross-functional projects spanning multiple product lines, functions, and sites.
• Drive strategic initiatives supporting growth, effectiveness, and Lean improvements.
• Analyze technical and business challenges and present leadership-ready recommendations.
• Manage cross-functional projects from concept to implementation and ensure alignment with objectives.
• Coordinate Mechanical, Electrical, Reliability, Test Development, Manufacturing, Quality, and PM teams.
• Drive schedules, risk mitigation, issue resolution, and executive reporting.
• Support resource planning and prioritization across development programs.
• Improve processes, metrics, documentation, and reporting.
• Foster leadership development and future engineering leadership readiness.
• Identify opportunities to standardize and improve engineering efficiency.
• Participate in engineering reviews, customer discussions, and strategic planning.
