Job summary

GPTech is seeking a Project Controls Engineer to support DOS IDIQ contracts. The role requires leading cost and schedule control, reports, and change management across diplomatic facilities abroad. You will work with the PD/COR and OBO to ensure contractual compliance and timely deliverables.

Candidates should have a US engineering degree, 7+ years in construction controls, Primavera expertise, and willingness to travel worldwide; overseas experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (any discipline) from a US-accredited university and a minimum of 7 years’ experience on construction projects.
• Experience in project controls report drafting and production, cost management, schedule management, change order management, submittal management, and commercial construction.
• Certification in cost consulting, cost engineering, cost technician, estimating, or scheduling preferred.
• Recent Primavera experience strongly desired.
• Demonstrated experience in construction management.
• Knowledge of international codes.
• Experience with multilateral/bilateral donors (USAID, World Bank, MCC, TDA).
• Experience providing QA for ongoing construction projects.
• Experience in reviewing design calculations from an engineering perspective.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
• Knowledge of construction safety regulations (EM 385-1-1, OSHA).
• Ability to obtain and retain a Top Secret security clearance.
• Willingness to travel worldwide.
• Professional Engineering registration preferred.
• Overseas experience required.

Responsibilities

• Perform full range of construction project controls tasks: reporting, cost and schedule management, change orders, submittals, and commercial construction operations.
• Review contracts, modifications, and payment provisions; prepare control documentation.
• Manage the OBO local office operations related to cost and schedule; produce reports.
• Mentor administrative staff and coordinate with PD/COR and other team members.
• Maintain daily construction logs and inspection records; track equipment and project records.
• Support and train project staff and ensure timely contract deliverables.
