Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology seeks a Project Controls Engineer to lead the program master schedule and cost integration for a large, complex program. You will work with the Program Manager and cross-functional teams to ensure schedule performance and cost control aligned with contract scope, including risk and PMO activities.

The role supports the US Strategic Command Aegis program office, drives integrated master scheduling using MS Project/Primavera P6, and requires US citizenship

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred
• 4+ years of project controls / project management experience
• Hands-on experience managing and controlling scope, schedule, cost, risk, and quality on large programs
• Strong business acumen to manage financial and performance metrics
• Familiarity with earned value management and Six Sigma principles
• Leadership that enables engagement, development, collaboration and performance
• Ability to develop integrated master schedules using MS Project or Primavera P6 with full logic and resources
• US citizenship required
• Ability to obtain & maintain a secret security or higher clearance
• Proficiency with PowerBI, Excel PowerQuery and Macros (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain the overall schedule baseline and IMS for the program
• Assist with cost baseline development and maintenance through IMS
• Collaborate on risk register management and reserves
• Lead PMO activities including program reviews, pricing initiatives and BOE development
• Maintain program management excellence across customer and supplier relationships
• Promote continuous improvement and adoption of best practices and tools
