Job summary

Google is seeking a Program Manager III for Carbon Removals within Global Sustainability, based in New York or Cambridge. You will lead multi-disciplinary projects, coordinate stakeholders, and manage schedules, risks, and communications across offices and time zones.

The role focuses on sourcing and contracting carbon removal projects, shaping strategy for defined pathways or geographies, and driving complex sustainability programs in ambiguous markets. Global collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in program or project management.
• Experience with carbon removal and superpollutant credit types.
• Experience managing an end-to-end pipeline of agreements.

Responsibilities

• Manage carbon removal offtake deals from end to end, sourcing the right projects and executing agreements.
• Set strategy for a defined area of carbon removal or superpollutant procurement.
• Shape and drive complex sustainability programs, iterating rapidly to navigate ambiguous environmental markets.
• Lead diligence for projects, applying a technical screen and a commercial one.
• Negotiate and contract deals with internal collaborators, suppliers, and other third parties.
