Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Professional Liability Claims Advisor to manage and resolve highly complex liability claims, coordinating case management to meet client standards and generate cost-efficient outcomes.

The role emphasizes strong investigation, negotiation, and collaboration with clients and legal teams, delivering high-quality service across diverse industries and maintaining professional relationships.

Qualifications

• Education & Licensing: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes and processes complex or technically difficult liability claims by investigating and gathering information to determine exposure and resolve the claim.
• Conducts or assigns full investigation and provides report pertaining to new events, claims and legal actions.
• Negotiates claim settlements up to designated authority level.
• Calculates and assigns reserves and monitors reserve adequacy throughout claim life.
• Coordinates legal defense by assigning attorney and reviewing invoices; ensures compliance with client guidelines.
