Job summary

Westlake seeks a product stewardship and regulatory compliance professional to lead and implement programs ensuring compliance with global product regulations. This role covers hazard communication, chemical inventory control, and import/export controls across regions.

Qualifications include a chemistry/environmental science degree and 5–7 years of related experience, with strong communication and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental, or related science and 5–7 years of experience in product stewardship.
• Solid knowledge of federal and state laws governing product safety (EPA, FIFRA, Pesticides, Biocides).
• Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to collaborate across functions.
• Demonstrates high attention to detail, takes ownership and drives results.

Responsibilities

• Proactively improves knowledge about chemical regulations and pesticides.
• Supports safety data sheet and product labeling programs and raw material introduction programs.
• Responds to customer inquiries about regulatory compliance, use and disposal globally.
• Develops and maintains information on hazards, uses, and exposures for products.
• Characterizes product risks based on hazards, uses, and exposures across lifecycle stages.
• Communicates health, safety and environmental measures to manage risk in product development and use.
• Works with suppliers, customers and value chain partners to support product safety management and information exchange.
• Supports management of chemical control compliance programs, registrations, import/export compliance.
• Provides regulatory and technical information to Technical, Sales and Marketing for regulatory and scientific matters.
