Job summary

Uber Technologies Inc. is seeking an exceptional Product Counsel to join the Delivery Legal team and support Uber’s delivery and logistics businesses. You will help launch features, enter new markets, and build integrations with merchants globally.

You will partner with Product, Operations, Strategy, Engineering, and Sales across jurisdictions, developing practical strategies that balance risk and innovation in a fast-growing, global platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of legal experience in private practice, government, and/or in-house.
• J.D. and active license to practice law in at least one U.S. state.
• Experience advising technology, shipping, logistics, marketplace, or operatingly complex businesses (preferred).
• Experience handling independent contractor issues in logistics or platform-based businesses (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted product counsel to teams building B2B white-label delivery, last-mile delivery, and end-to-end logistics products and operations.
• Advise product, operations, strategy, engineering, and sales on product design, business models, and launches across jurisdictions.
• Develop practical, risk-balanced legal strategies enabling innovation and growth while navigating regulatory frameworks.
• Lead legal reviews of new products and features across the Uber platform from design through launch.
• Provide strategic advice on consumer protection, privacy, commercial law, IP, competition, and regulatory matters affecting delivery and logistics.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively within a high-performing, diverse team to meet legal and business priorities.
• Draft and advise on commercial contracts, disclosures, FAQs, legal disclaimers, and policies governing Uber products and services.
