Job summary

CBRE seeks a Sr. Procurement Manager in Chicago to lead a large team responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing outsourced services. You will work with multiple clients to develop and execute complex procurement strategies and oversee contract lifecycle from sourcing to renewal.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with 5–8 years of experience, C.P.M./C.P.S.M./N.A.C.M. certifications, and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 5-8 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination.
• C.P.M., C.P.S.M. or NACM certifications or eligibility required.
• Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance preferred.
• Ability to convey sensitive information and set performance expectations.
• Strong leadership to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Provide formal supervision to employees and conduct performance evaluations.
• Coordinate and manage daily team activities, set work schedules, and cross-train staff.
• Assist with development of company-wide policies, playbooks, and organizational materials.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and execute procurement strategy at multiple levels.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and maintain contracts for large-scale purchases.
• Oversee contract terminations, expirations, and renewals with stakeholders.
• Manage supplier and contractor certification and review vendor performance.
• Mentor on outsourcing practices and manage cross-functional issues.
• Review RTFs, select solutions and agreements, ensure contract alignment with standards.
• Act as a key contact for utilization management and external procurement solutions.
• Lead by example consistent with CBRE values and departmental plans.
• Apply broad business knowledge to achieve team objectives.
• Identify and solve complex technical and operational problems.
• Improve and update methods and processes within the discipline.
