Job summary

Abbott in Madison, WI is seeking a procurement professional to manage the full purchase order lifecycle and supplier contracts within its Cancer Diagnostics organization. You will work with Procurement, Finance, Legal, and end users to optimize purchasing workflows.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Business/IT/SCM or related field with 4+ years in buying and ERP. Strong MS Office skills and US work authorization are essential. Experience with SAP is preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent).
4+ years buying, supply chain, inventory management, ERP experience.
Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint/Teams).
US work authorization without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Manage full purchase order lifecycle: documentation, data entry, approvals, submission, expediting, status monitoring, resolution, and reconciliation.
Manage lifecycle of laboratory equipment and service contracts: planning, negotiation support, execution, renewals, and business reviews.
Evaluate suppliers, support pricing negotiations, maintain pricing/lead times, and guide departments to meet quality and financial standards.
Monitor procurement activity, prepare reports/metrics, and coordinate with Accounts Payable on discrepancies.
Collaborate cross-functionally to improve workflows, strengthen vendor performance, and ensure compliance.
