Job summary

Central Garden & Pet is seeking a Vice President, Global Procurement to lead our global procurement organization and develop enterprise-wide sourcing strategies. The role collaborates with Operations, Manufacturing, R&D, Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Commercial leadership to drive cost optimization and value creation.

Based on-site five days per week at the Neptune City, NJ facility, with travel to Monroe Township, NJ.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field is required.
• MBA or advanced degree preferred for senior leadership.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is desired.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the global procurement strategy and 3–5‑year roadmap.
• Lead domestic and global strategic sourcing, procurement, contract negotiations, and supplier performance.
• Build executive-level supplier partnerships to ensure supply continuity.
• Develop sourcing strategies to optimize total cost of ownership while improving quality and innovation.
• Monitor commodity markets, inflation, tariffs, FX trends, and geopolitical risks to adjust sourcing strategies.
