Job summary

QuidelOrtho is seeking a Senior Global Procurement Lead to drive strategy, supplier selection, cost, quality, and delivery for finished goods and direct materials. The role requires leading commodity management across multiple sites and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize value and supplier performance.

The position is onsite in Rochester, NY, with additional locations in Carlsbad, CA, San Diego, CA, or Pompano Beach, FL. It offers a broad benefits package and bonus eligibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering or related field.
• Experience in ISO compliant and FDA regulated environments.
• 8–10 years in technical/procurement leadership within medical devices or regulated manufacturing.
• Proven leadership delivering high-quality products on time and on budget.
• Experience in packaging commodity procurement is a plus.
• Proficient with MS Office and Power BI.
• Approx. 5% travel domestic and international.
• Visa sponsorship not available for this role.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier selection and complex negotiations, manage commercial and supply chain risk.
• Develop Global Commodity Strategy and Total Cost Management initiatives.
• Drive strategic sourcing and supplier performance management for new product launches.
• Foster supplier partnerships and communicate issues to leadership with mitigation plans.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, R&D, Product Management and Finance to improve value and service.
• Facilitate supplier change notices and material obsolescence processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
