Job summary

Wallenius Wilhelmsen seeks an experienced Procurement Category Manager, Operations & External Workforce to own a global portfolio with roughly USD 200 million in annual spend. You will lead strategies across MRO, equipment leasing, external workforce, and HR-related categories to drive cost, availability and performance for our global operations.

Based in Parsippany, NJ this hybrid role requires onsite presence Tue–Thu and offers collaboration with Operations, HR and Finance to deliver

Qualifications

5+ years in Category Management, Strategic Sourcing or comparable roles.
Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into value.
Experience across MRO materials and services, temporary labor or related categories.
Strong commercial negotiation, supplier and contract management capabilities.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Procurement, Strategy or related discipline.
Spanish fluency is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement global category strategies with cross-functional stakeholders.
Lead and develop Sourcing & Contract Managers and support growth of procurement function.
Monitor supplier, service, and labor market developments to identify opportunities and manage risk.
Lead supplier selections, negotiations, contracting and sourcing initiatives to improve total cost of ownership.
Challenge demand, standardise specifications, optimise workforce models, consolidate suppliers and unlock value.
Establish governance frameworks with key suppliers to drive performance and continuity.
