Job summary

Pilgrim's is seeking a Procurement Analyst to support global chemical producers and service providers within the Facilities Services and Chemicals category. You will assist in category strategy creation, supplier identification, selection, and negotiation analytics, building strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting market research, and developing reports for Senior Leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business or related field preferred.
• Ability to interact in a cross-functional team environment.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Effective written and oral communications skills.
• Understanding of supply/commodity markets a plus.

• Support Global Procurement teams in sourcing to ensure category strategies and supplier selection meet business requirements.
• Collaborate with Food Safety, Quality Assurance, Operations, Sanitation, and Sustainability to qualify materials and suppliers, identify value opportunities, and lead sourcing initiatives.
• Conduct market research to optimize sourcing decisions and keep leadership informed of market impacts.
• Assist in implementing risk mitigation by developing secondary supply options and favorable contract language.
• Facilitate negotiations and draft MSAs and SOWs for execution.
• Interact with plant operations to ensure compliance of negotiated contracts.
• Perform spend analytics and identify sourcing levers to meet cost-reduction targets.
• Work with IT to update supplier information in SAP.
• Gather information to build reports for Senior Leadership and maintain supplier scorecards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Purpose and Scope/General Summary: Reporting to the Global Procurement Category Manager over Facilities Services and Chemicals , the Procurement Analyst is responsible for supporting the sourcing and management of global chemical producers and service providers and ensures all business requirements are accounted for in category strategies. The Procurement Analyst role is critical in supporting sourcing through involvement in category strategy creation , supplier identification, selection , and negotiation analytics to ensure the highest level of service and quality of supply. The Procurement Analyst will build strong working relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders through facilitating the day-to-day operations of the category .

Responsibilities

• Support various b usiness u nits and the Global P rocurement teams in the sourcing process to ensure category strategies and supplier selection conform to business requirements.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams, including Food Safety and Quality Assurance, Operations, Sanitation, and Sustainability to qualify materials and suppliers, identify value creation opportunities, and lead sourcing initiatives.
• Conduct internal and external market research analysis to optimize sourcing decisions and keep stakeholders informed of key market impacts .
