Job summary

Eastman is seeking an experienced Chemical Engineer to support manufacturing, pilot plant, and lab-scale process improvement and scale-up. The role is based near Eastman’s large sites in Kingsport, TN or Longview, TX, with travel to global sites.

You will lead cross-functional teams, run production trials, and analyze data to drive improvements while maintaining safety and environmental commitments. Domestic and international travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering is required.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing support, process development, or process improvement.
• Commitment to safety and environmental awareness.
• Demonstrated project management skills.
• Ability to work in a matrixed environment with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent written, listening, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote or onsite support to Eastman's global sites with travel >50%.
• Partner with technology, manufacturing, and other teams to drive process improvement.
• Plan and execute production trials and tests on lab, pilot, and manufacturing scales.
• Troubleshoot daily operational issues using data-driven analysis.
