Job summary

Legal & General Asset Management in Chicago and London seeks an Investment Associate to originate, evaluate, execute and monitor investment grade private credit opportunities, delivering attractive risk-adjusted returns for clients.

You will partner with colleagues across markets, perform detailed credit analysis, build financial models, and manage diligence, negotiations and portfolio construction while maintaining strong relationships with borrowers and arrangers.

Qualifications

• Evaluate companies/industries from financial data and research.
• Build robust financial models and interpret results.
• Deliver clear investment recommendations in writing.
• Pursue CFA or related training.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, structure, execute and monitor investment grade private credit investments across sectors and transaction types.
• Assess investment opportunities through detailed credit analysis and risk evaluation.
• Partner with investment and credit teams across Chicago and London to source and execute opportunities.
• Prepare investment committee materials and negotiate legal documents and portfolio construction requirements.
• Monitor investments, identify risks and opportunities, and adjust strategies to protect client capital.
