Job summary

lululemon Athletica seeks a Privacy Counsel to join their Global Privacy Program. The role collaborates across Legal, Digital, Technology, Employment, and Compliance teams to manage privacy risks and regulatory changes.

You will interpret laws, provide guidance, and support enterprise-wide initiatives, with a focus on international privacy standards. The position is based in Seattle, WA with a hybrid work setup (onsite at least 4 days/week) and a compensation range aligned to market norms.

Qualifications

• Understanding of key global privacy and marketing compliance laws including CCPA, PIPEDA, GDPR, EU-US Privacy Shield, data breach regulations, CAN-SPAM, COPPA, CASL and other applicable FTC rules.
• Knowledge of privacy laws, practices, and regulatory frameworks (PCI, GDPR, SOX) and retail tech.
• Strong ability to interpret laws and provide clear guidance across business units.
• Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather information and approvals for privacy compliance.
• Support APAC and China Legal partners as the primary contact.
• Monitor regulatory changes and oversee timely implementation.
• Provide privacy guidance on products, initiatives, complaints, and issue resolution.
• Partner with Digital, Technology, Employment, and Compliance teams to mitigate risks while enabling business goals.
• Guide incident response and engagement with outside counsel.
• Help drive program maturity, tracking, and leadership reporting.
